As we mark 10 years at Long Burroughs, we are pleased to share the next chapter of our business.
Over recent months, we have undertaken a strategic review, and are pleased to announce, that from 1 March, Long Burroughs has joined Steadfast New Zealand, part of the broader Steadfast Group network. This partnership enhances our ability to support clients while maintaining our independence and client-first approach.
As part of this process, we have undertaken a comprehensive brand refresh to reflect our continued growth, the expansion of our workspace in Parnell, and our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional insurance and risk advisory solutions.
Our Story
2014
Joint Forces

David Burroughs and Geoff Long join with the team at Auckland Insurance, both companies working from the Parnell office.
2015
Inception
​
Long Burroughs was founded by Geoff Long and David Burroughs. With their purpose to make sure businesses and people are genuinely protected. David and Geoff brought high level experience in Commercial and Corporate insurance and the ability to purchase from both local and international insurance markets.
2019
Long Burroughs Expanding
​
Long Burroughs acquires Auckland Insurance, strengthening its service offerings and further enhancing the company's position within the industry. The acquisition created greater opportunities to deliver bespoke insurance solutions and enhanced support to clients across New Zealand.
2020
Wellington Fire & General Acquisition
​
Long Burroughs acquires the Wellington Fire & General book of business, strengthening its presence in the region and expanding its client base across the country.
January 2024
Life and Health Introduced
​
Long Burroughs Financial Services Ltd is created. As part of this expansion, Long Burroughs introduces Life & Health insurance with Director, Bryce Wilson. Providing individuals and families with management plans to navigate potential risks that life throws at us.
February 2025
Curated Risk Merges with Long Burroughs

Clinton Stanger founder of Curated Risk joins Long Burroughs as new director. This strategic alignment brought together expertise, creating new opportunities for Long Burroughs.
July 2025
Launch New Internal CRM System: Alb-e

Successfully implemented a new CRM platform transforming internal workflows, significantly improving efficiency and data visibility.
August 2025
Celebrates its 10-Year Anniversary

Office Renovations Complete
